Ashland Mill

A New Chapter for Ashland, Oregon

Ashland Mill is the transformation of the long-dormant Croman Mill site in south Ashland into a vibrant new neighborhood rooted in community, nature, and local character. For generations the land was defined by industry and extraction; today it represents an opportunity to restore the landscape while creating much-needed homes and welcoming public spaces. The project reimagines the site as a walkable neighborhood where parks, local businesses, and thoughtfully designed homes bring daily life together.

Guided by principles of placemaking and sustainability, Ashland Mill is designed to feel like a natural extension of Ashland rather than a separate enclave. Walkable streets, shared parks, and a neighborhood center will create places for people to gather, while local shops and small businesses help foster a vibrant community life. The project prioritizes human-scale design and connections to the surrounding town, reinforcing the character and culture that make Ashland unique.

At its core, Ashland Mill is about renewal—restoring land that has been dormant for years and shaping it into a place where families, creatives, and neighbors can thrive. By combining thoughtful development with care for the land and the broader community, the project seeks to create a neighborhood that is both resilient and welcoming for generations to come.
